Greece is hosting the top European Competition “JA European Enterprise Challenge 2020”

For the first time, and with the olive wreath of the Olympic Games as it symbol, Junior Achievement Greece is hosting JA Εurope’s top European student innovation and entrepreneurship competition, ” JA Europe Enterprise Challenge 2020 “, from 24 to 26 June 2020. The competition’s dynamic and optimistic call to the young people of Greece, Europe and the world is: “Start Up and Thrive!”

JA Greece is very pleased and honored to announce that the competition is taking place under the patronage of Her Excellency the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

In the context of this Europe-wide competition, JA Greece aims to promote the great talent of the Greek and European younger generation and highlight student and youth entrepreneurship as a top priority, as it is the most important driver of strength and self-confidence for young people.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s JA Europe Enterprise Challenge 2020 will be a virtual competition, with teams and judges communicating online.

Participating in this year’s competition are 18 student teams from Greece, Great Britain, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Malta, Estonia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Romania and Luxembourg.

The student groups competing with very innovative business ideas are the winners of the “JA Start Up 2020” National Competitions held in each country. “JA Start Up” is a Junior Achievement Europe educational programme promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, and is available at 500 universities throughout Europe, with 17,000 students participating.

The VIRTUAL awards ceremony will take place on 26 June – LIVE at 15:00 Greek time.

The awards ceremony will be Virtual & Live, like those of the National Competitions, with the guests and winning teams linked online. The ceremony will start at 15:00, and the first-prize winner will be announced at 17:00. The ceremony will be broadcast live in Greece, Europe and throughout the world on the competition webpage, www.jaenterprisechallenge.org , on www.jagreece.com , on JA Greece social media and on the ERT website, www.ert.gr .
